We will submit all of the winners contact information to UGG in 2 weeks and then they ship directly from their headquarters in NYC. I would anticipate another 2 – 3 week time lapse after UGG winner information is submitted with an expected receipt of the boots in mid to later November.

Girls be ambitious and optimistic! Everything is possible, we are capable of doing anything we put our minds to. Now we have the chance of earning an education, getting a respectable job whether it is in the medical field or a career in the humanities. Aim for more, never be satisfied with just “enough”

I want to give a shout out to Malala Yousufzai!! Please look her up. She got shot a couple days ago by the Taliban in Swat Valley, Pakistan. She was preserving her right to education, and speaking out against inequality, but they disagreed. I believe it to be crucial for us to know about these issues and try to stop them. Innocent lives are getting hurt because these people are doing what they all ready should be able to do; going to school as girls. We should all be grateful and love school. Malala is an agent of change and great role model. Please pray for her. POWER TO THE SISTER. Peace,
NOOR (and Husnaa the epic one)

As the mother of five girls in the US, I feel very blessed – my daughters can choose to go to school, to college, or on other adventures. They can choose when and who they marry. They can follow the inspirations of their hearts. I am so grateful for this day, and this movement, that reminds us all that we do have a responsibility to help, to support, and to empower. And to girls everywhere – you are strong, you are capable, you are beautiful, and you are worth it!

So incredibly grateful that the UN brought forth the Day of the Girl. I have been working in South Sudan through Project Education South Sudan where we helped build the only all girls boarding school in the remote region of Jonglei state where there is early arranged marriage forcing girls to cease their education. Less then 8% of girls have access to primary education. This past May Ayak Anguei Girls School had 17 out of 23 graduate to secondary where only 400 girls TOTAL are in the last class of secondary school in the entire nation! We are so PROUD of these girls who have so many odds against them! We are fully participating October 11th with sending 1,950 e-blasts to our friends and supporters to help make education possible for brave girls who go fight their culture of early arranged marriage at 13-16 years old! http://www.projecteducationsouthsudan.org

Awesome!!!!

Let’s make the first annual Day of the Girl a one for the history books… :D

Women have always endured the pain of dehumanization over the course of time. It is time that we all come together and show the world all that we are capable of. I am proud to a female; I am proud to be a young girl, and nothing anyone tells me will change my mind.

I am so ecstatic to be a part of Day of the Girl. This is such an inspirational moment for young girls out there all around the world. It is wonderful to have this day for girls to celebrate their lives. Its a day where every girl is beautiful no matter what needs to be known. We all need to acknowledge that fact and help encourages others to accept this fact. Its going to be one exciting g and memorable day!!!

Us females have been trying for centuries to make ourselves equal to the boys. Well this day is our time to shine and show everyone what we’ve got and what we’re made of. Girls rule on this day

I appreciate the Day of the Girl because after all these years of dehumanization in the community of females, it is a day when we can fully realize and appreciate our feminity and also our rights to being a human. We are people and should be treated as such. This is a day of understanding and accepting ourselves for who we are. We are people.

It’s great to find an organization that focuses on the well-being of young girls everywhere and that gives incite and awareness as well. It would be great if there could be a regular meeting for young girls who have self-image and self-worth issues.

Way Cool. Hoping to help expose/empower/cultivate my grand daughter PayPay (Payton) who will turn 4 on Dec. 25th. Yes, the greatest Xmas gift my daughter could ever deliver. LOL
My Exposure as a young girl to such as this was zero, a little better for my daughter Erica (PayPay’s mom) but that was 30 and 50 years ago. Girls, it is a different world today and do yourself a favor. Take advantage of anything that will make your world, everyone’s world a better place. Building, using your GIRL BRAINPOWER. Girls rule and there’s proof. To my beautiful PayPay —- Nana say’s “Do all you can do, be all you can be” and this is a great starting place. Luv U
Thank you so much DAY OF THE GIRL from all of us.
